We are Mike & Becky Smith and we joined Vitamist in March of 2009. We’ve always been hard-working individuals who have helped our employers over the years make money. Mike decided to start a local pizza business back in the early 90’s thinking this was his way to get out of a factory. It wasn’t long before he realized that he was working for his employees instead of vice versa. After deciding this took too much time in addition to working a full-time job, he sold this venture and moved on to the next. He then started a machine shop with a couple of buddies that took a huge investment and he was, once again, still working countless hours. He felt as though he was enslaved to the companies he was doing business with because of their demands. After doing some soul searching, he decided he wanted to start a landscaping business and help people beautify their homes. However, after a couple of back-breaking years, he knew there had to be a better way. Becky, on the other hand, had worked for corporate America and only dreamed of being her own boss some day. On Friday the 13th of March 2009, Becky lost her job due to downsizing. At the time, it was frightening because of the bad economy. However, it has been one of the best blessings I’ve ever received. This has allowed me to volunteer at our church several days a week as well as help out in our local soup kitchen and start putting a plan together to open up a homeless shelter in our area. I was also able to spend time nurturing our garden (i.e. weeding) so that we could sell fresh produce at a local farmers market where we also were able to advertise Vitamist products.
We were introduced to network marketing in 2006 and thought the concept made perfect sense – helping other people achieve their dreams by building a team of like minded, hard working people. We started sharing the excitement about financial freedom and started building a residual income. We discovered that in network marketing you can make as much money as you dream and get paid over and over for your work – something that’s unheard of in corporate America. We talk to people every week that have family and/or friends who cannot find work that will pay a decent wage. From the very moment that we met Bill Deihl and learned about the concept of Vitamist, we knew we had to try these products out for ourselves to see if they were really as good as he said they were. In addition to a weight loss of 40 pounds by Mike, we both feel ten years younger and are full of energy once again.
